The North End Day Trip

We spent yesterday in Boston and for the first time since last year it was spring. We left Maine in the morning and drove to Boston to visit my sister who lives in the North End. I love the North End, the narrow streets, the smells, the food, my sister. It makes for the perfect day trip. By the time we arrived the sun was shining and it was 60 degrees! Yes, it was the perfect "first day of spring". We ate Cubano sandwich's, talked, some of us napped, and ate Tiramisu at Mike's Pastries. Then to top it off we made our annual pilgrimage to Trader Joe's and bought out the store. When I travel even if it's just a day trip, I like to be comfortable. So I put together my perfect day trip outfit. Black Levis Eco wide leg jeans, Rouges Gallery T-shirt, Vintage 40's waist jacket from Rice and Beans Vintage , and Black Frye Belted Harness Boots. My bag of choice for a day trip? A 4-D camouflage LL Bean Tote, my sister and I have the same one and love them! If you're ever in Boston, make sure you take the time to walk around the North End, you won't be disappointed. This morning back in Maine, I woke up to snow.
