While normally my favorite hunt is for vintage & designer clothing for Rice and Beans Vintage, I also love the hunt of forest delicacies in particular The chanterelle mushroom. We have had several weeks of rain here in Maine and the forest floor is ripe with mushrooms of all kinds. While I am in no way a mycologist or mushroom expert, I do know a handful of gourmet edibles including the chanterelle. Yesterday after one of thoose days where it seems like was a little bit on edge, The artist, my lover, little JD, and I went on a forest hike in search of gifts from the forest. The artist is a great mushroom hunter and more familiar with a variety of kinds than I am, but it was my lover & little JD in the backpack who found the first score of chanterelles. After that we all had our turn with a score and so at the end of the walk we had a great bundle of apricot scented chanterelles and big smiles on our faces. Now to decide what to have them with....Yummy
