The White Stripes Rock Portland!!

The White Stripes kicked off the American leg of their tour right here in Portland Maine. Sunday's show was killer, they are truly amazing, both musically and as performers. We of course missed the opening band because we were feeding our sushi addiction at Yosaku, which by the way has THE best sushi in Portland and probably in Maine. By the time we walked over to the civic center people were quickly pushing their way to the front of the floor and the decent seats were already gone. Not a problem...Luke did some recon and we ended up with what I consider some of the best seats..err..illegal standing zone in the place. I even have the bruises to prove it from dancing in my tiny illegal standing zone box. Somehow we went unnoticed and loved every minute of it. Things the White Stripes and Rice and Beans Vintage have in common...#1 Our Color Scheme: Jack White is notorious for only wearing and surrounding himself with the colors Black, White, and Red... sound familiar? Have you visited Rice and Beans Vintage lately? #2 Amazing sense of style. Meg wore a sailor red & white striped shirt with skin tight black sailor pants and a scarf around her neck! Jack wore all Red....not much more to say about that other than hot! Our Vintage 50's red embroidered & jeweled bolero vest would be perfect for Meg and my pick for Jack from Rice and Beans Vintage is our Vintage 60's FRYE Jett Boots. If you haven't already bought your White Stripe tickets for your city, go NOW and get them, you won't be disappointed.
