So I am a little behind in my posts...but I couldn't let the Baystock Festival go by without at least a comment! There is nothing like a late August outdoor show on the pier in Portland to make you wish summer would never end. With a great lineup the Baystock Festival (which donates all proceeds to the Jessie Fund a local charity for pediatric cancer) was just the thing I needed. Honorable mention goes to Grace Potter and the Nocturnals who not only were amazing musicians but had incredible style! However the reason for being there was definitely to see The Black Crows. Having seen them in 1994 I can honestly say that not only did Chris Robinson have the same classic rocker outfit on (perfectly worn denim and a Guatemalan shirt) but that they are pure rock and roll perfection. If you have the chance to see them, don't miss out.
